Low Cost Solutions For Noise Leaks
Around Door Frames And Bottom Thresholds

Model HS-100 magnetic perimeter doors seals
Model HS-110 sponge rubber compression door seals

Model HS-200 acoustical drop threshold.  For best results on carpet an additional threshold may be needed.

General Information:
  • HUSH SEAL™ perimeter door frame seals are available with magnetic strip design (model HS-100) for metal doors and frames as shown above left or with sponge rubber design (model HS-110) for wooden and non-metal doors and frames as shown above middle. Self adhesive strips (model HS-120) are also available.

  • HUSH SEAL™ automatic acoustical drop thresholds (model HS-200) shown above right mount directly to the bottom of the door leaf. A pivoting cam lift internal hinge lifts the sponge seal automatically when the door is opened.
  • Standard finish is clear anodized aluminum. Other finishes available upon request.
  • Easy to follow installation instructions are included with each shipment.
  • Easy to adjust and maintenance free.

Acoustic Performance:

When used in conjunction with solid core wood or metal doors, HUSH SEAL™ perimeter acoustical seals and drop thresholds will greatly reduce noise leakage. Reductions of 5 to 10 dB have been measured in the field. Test results from a leading independent acoustical testing laboratory on operable doors fitted with series 100 and 200 seals showed STC ratings of 44 to 46.

Installation:

Model HS-100 and 110 perimeter seals should be fastened to the door frame on the top and closure sides and to the door leaf on the hinge side. Complete installation guidelines are included with each shipment of materials. Field cutting of seals can be done but should be avoided whenever possible.
